What I remember of Uncle Denis, was when we visited when I must have been around 7ish, was driving around in the VW Van. Being taught how to drive.
Fran.
My earliest recollections of Uncle Denis is when he was living in the
Oval, he took me to see a neighbour's flock of pigeons and I was given a
small pigeon egg for my breakfast. Uncle Denis always had time for kids.
Geoffrey & I were fortunate to share more adult memories with Uncle
Denis and enjoyed his hospitality and company. Did he eventually manage to shoo off those pigeons in the back hedge -- so funny watching him sweep them out with his broom. A lovely man. Will be missed.

Good to meet an English uncle in person from our family trip in 1984 and to look back on the photos as memories. Helena Judd

Denis will not be forgotten. He is in my memory for as long as I live. I have fond memories of him. I didn't see him very often as I emigrated to New Zealand with my parents in 1957, but we did make one trip back as a family in 1984 to visit our UK relations.
Photos help remember those great times.
